Our mission at ITIC is to help you build a pathway between university and full time work. Once you get there, we will help you to reach your career goals by gaining industry expert certifications throughout your lifetime of learning with us.

The ITIC team brings together experience and knowledge in key IT technologies including Networking and Cloud, Security, Software Development and AI/ Data Science, to deliver quality work experience and learning outcomes.

Stephen Elbourn

Stephen is the Director of ITIC and highly experienced in the IT industry, having worked as technical lead on network and telephony refresh projects at Telstra, for large government and enterprise customers over many years. In addition to ITIC, Stephen is on the Industry Advisory Board of Macquarie University and the director of two software companies, developing products for cloud migration as well as testing and provisioning automation.

SteveN NGuYEN

Steven is the commercial manager at ITIC, leading student, alumni and university engagement, as well as programs and partnership development with industry partners. Steven has worked in the education industry for many years and is focused on helping students to identify what areas in IT interest them, help them to select the right programs and then guide them into their first full time job and in achieving their career goals.

Vincent Wei

Vincent is the Head of Training at ITIC. He has over 10 years of industry experience and worked on various network design and implementation projects for companies such as Ausgrid, South 32 and WIN Television. Vincent holds a Master’s degree in Internetworking (UTS), as well as certifications at the highest levels in Cisco, Microsoft and Huawei including CCIE Routing & Switching, CCIE Data Centre, HCIE Routing & Switching, HCIE Storage and Microsoft MCSE and MCT. Vincent is also a part-time lecturer in Information Storage and Cloud Computing at UNSW Sydney.

Jennifer Yang

Jennifer is the Marketing Manager at ITIC, having worked with us since graduating university in 2010. Jennifer develops new programs, organises our regular tech session and hackathons and manages the ITIC certification exam test centre, which is the biggest privately owned Authorised Pearson testing centre in Australia and provides exam services to 1000’s of test candidates every year.

Scott Punshon

Scott is our Software Engineering Lead at ITIC and has worked in a number of software “start-ups” as well as holding positions at IBM and Telstra. Scott delivers our software development training and internship programs and is the engineering lead for our software product suite, used extensively by large telecommunications companies, IT service providers and IT systems integrators.

Charanya Ramakrishnan

Charanya is our Data Science and AI Innovation Lead at ITIC. Charanya is working on PHD research with the project entitled “Intelligence-led Teaching and Learning” and leads the data science/ AI research team at ITIC. Charanya has been a lecturer at Macquarie University since 2011 and manages her own team of tutors at MQU.

Durga Prasad

Durga is our Software Testing Mentor at ITIC. Having completed his Business Analyst internship with ITIC whilst studying Masters of IT Management from Macquarie University, Durga has achieved ISTQB certification for software testing and now delivers our software testing program. Durga recently joined our Data Science and AI research team, assisting Charanya on our “Intelligence-led Teaching and Learning” research project.

Shashank Salunkhe

Shashank is our Software Engineer at ITIC. Having completed his Software Development internship with ITIC, whilst studying Masters of Information Technology in Cyber security and Internetworking at Macquarie Universtiy, Shashank is now leading new product development on our Twilio integrated event booking and contact management platform. Shashank is an assistant Software trainer, leading our internship team to provide an opportunity to experience and contribute to this project.
